Some names have been changed to protect the victim and the incomptent, not that they deserve it.

VICTORY ! It's true, some members have won their long and arduous battle with Aptia. Here are some tips complied from their experience to help you in your quest:

LIES. Aptia lie. We don't know whether it's incompetence or just a tactic Aptia use to run the clock down, but they do lie rather a lot. If possible, correspond with them via email. We have listed some of their email addresses in the Aptia Contacts section. Emails have date and time stamps on them and can be passed to your lawyer as evidence of Aptia's wrongdoing.

DELAYS. Aptia use an array of delaying tactics to ensure deadlines are not complied with. The most common are lying, sending countless forms via snail-mail, no ownership by using generic signatures, directing victims to a defective website and using non-committal phrases such as "We'll be in touch soon". Using email can prevent some of their delays, but be warned, when highlighting their various issues you may receive an abusive email from their senior management. Just goes to show that Aptia would rather blame their clients instead of offering any customer service or fixing their many issues. Allow a lot of time for the process and have your lawyer on standby.

After one victory, a lawyer has been requesting compensation from Aptia for thier incompetence, lies, unnecessary delays, abusive emails and withholding a pension. The first request was on 24th June 2005. Aptia have been chased multiple times and, you guessed it, responses to date; "...we'll be in touch..."  and on 15th July 2025 "...have a response with you in the next day or two.". It's now August 2025 and still no reply. Aptia are incapable of responding to anything within an acceptable fime frame.

COMPLAINTS. Our members are firmly of the opinion that Aptia would not have done anything if they hadn't made multiple compliants. Please have a look at the Useful Contacts section to launch your complaints. In addition it's a good idea to get the trustees of your pension fund involved. Many have stated that the ombudsman is a bit useless but getting the Pension Regulator requires multiple complaints so please keep them updated too. Some victims have included Minister Emma Reynolds. Minister Reynolds has been superseded by The Rt Hon Liz Kendall MP, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.

It's worth mentioning your experience on TrustPilot too.
